A Happy "Butterfly" Birthday card

Here's a lovely birthday card I created using one of the lovely butterfly images at Fitztown.

It's for the latest challenge at Fitztown - Challenge #46 - Step Cards

Here's a peek at the side view so you know how it's folded/standing:

I was very intimated by step cards not too long ago, but have come to love them.  I may make a little tutorial post on how to cut and score the base of the step cards so keep your eyes open for this coming soon.

I used this lovely image FAE 18 which can be found here.

I hope you'll give this challenge a try, and for some of you it truly will be a challenge; but one worth trying once you see the restuls.

Flower Power is here...

Well it's time for another challenge at Craft Your Passion !  This week our theme is FLOWER POWER !!

I chose this cute image called "Spring Blossoms Bunch" from A Day for Daisies which can be found here.

This is such a versatile image.
You can make just about any occasion card with this image, and it's easy to colour too !!

I hope to see some of your wonderful floral creations this week at Craft Your Passion

Friday Inspiration at Fitztown

It's another Inspiration Friday at Fitztown.  Here's what I made to go along with this week's challenge

Challenge #45 - Browns.

I used this great masculine image SPORTS 9 which can be found here.

Who can't use more masculine cards in their stash, right?

I used some burlap strips I had on hand, coloured the image with copics and chalked the water and sky.  The enamel buttons are made by melting Perler beads in the oven.
They are a perfect addition to my card as they add texture/dimension without being too "girly".

I do hope you'll play along with us on this challenge.
It's pretty easy to use browns on just about any creation, especially a masculine card like this.

A hockey Happy Birthday

I created this card for th latest challenge at Brown Sugar Challenge Blog

We are sponsored by Dr. Digi
and I chose this great image Ice Hockey Hugh for my creation.
We have several hockey playing nephews in our family so this card will come in handy for that !!

I hope you'll play along with us this week for a chance to win a prize.

A Fairy nice clock !

I created this cute Fairy Clock for the latest challenge at Fitztown.

I bought a cute little clock at the dollar store and took it apart so I could put my own image on it.

It was pretty easy to pull apart by unscrewing the base.I
I pulled the arts off the centre part of the clock
(I broke the 2nd hand by accident)
and then I was able to colour my image, trace the circle shape
using the glass as a template
and then poked a hole where the hands go and I was done.
I used little rhinestones for the numbers and chalked the background
with blue and purple.
The wings are glittery but didn't photograph well.

I hope you'll play along this week with us at Fitztown.

Mr. Icecream says Happy Birthday...

It's Monday and time for another challenge at Craft Your Passion !

This week the challenge is #222 - Use Citrus Colours
I used this really cute image from Zap-Pow Designs called Mr. Icecream

I used Rock Candy Stickles on the icecream to make it look textured and sweet, but it sure didn't photograph really well !!

I hope you'll pop over to CYP and create something Citrus-y for a chance to win a prize.

Can't get much more GIRLY thank Pink and Pearls, can ya ?  And this image from A Day for Daisies is perfect for a little GIRLY card !!  It's called MOM's HAT and can be found here.

It's time for the next challenge at Brown Sugar Challenges - #102 - Pink and Pearls
I hope you'll pop over to check it out, and play along.

On another note, I've started a CLOTHING colouring class at Kit and Clowder...this image was coloured before I started the class, so come back and check for this image coloured again once I get some lessons under my belt!!
.

It's Friday and another Design Day for me at Fitztown

Can you guess the theme of this week's challenge at Fitztown?
If you guessed LOVE or Valentine's Day...you're wrong...

Challenge #43 - Pick a Holiday
I chose Valentine's Day (which isn't really a holiday, but it should be)

This week I had fun with the VALENTINE 13 image.

I created this shaped Valentine's Day card by printing the image fairly large and cutting it out.
Then I cut a back (inside) piece too and attached them together after
printing "Happy Valentine's Day" on the inside piece.
I also added some pearls to the heart to dress it up a little bit.
Here's a look at it inside:

I am very pleased with how this turned out.

I hope you'll play along with us for the current challenge here at Fitztown

You're a classic...

Well it's Monday and time for another challenge at Craft Your Passion.

I used this great image from QKR Stampede "Old Car" which can be found here.

I simply printed the image in colour (using Microsoft Word) by RIGHT CLICKING the image, select FORMAT PICTURE, then recolour !!  Easy-peasy and there you have a nice coloured image !!

I used my embossing folder to create the diamond plate background.

I created another card in black and white:

and another using a very CAS design and some washi tape for an accent:

I hope you'll pop over to Craft Your Passion and play along this week.
I'm sure you have an image or two in the Transport/Travel theme that you can use !!
I look forward to seeing what you create!!
